 Heips! Nyt on taas se aika vuodesta kun syksy taas lähestyy ja jälleen kerran monelle on epävarmaa mistä jännästä sitä itsensä löytääkään. Uudet koulut alkaa, jotkut jatkaa samassa - myös minä ja joillekkin se on välivuoden paikka, ehkä jotain täysin muuta. Itselleni Vaasaan muutto tapahtui niin nopeasti, että vieläkin tulee toisinaan ihmeteltyä kuinka kaikki järjestyikään niin äkkiä. Onneksi se ei sentään ollut ensimmäinen muuttoni, sillä toissa keväänä oli niin paljon kaikenlaista muutakin härdelliä, että sain itkeä ja nauraa vuoron perään. Haluaisinkin tsempata nyt kaikkia niitä joilla on hankaluuksia - olivat ne sitten koulussa, kotona, tulevaisuushuolia tai jopa kaikkia sekaisin niin paljon, ettei millään enää jaksaisi - jatkakaa täysillä eteenpäin! Pyrkikää etsimään sitä omaa juttua, minkä eteen on valmis näkemään vaivaa. Se ei välttämättä ole helppoa, koska esimerkiksi omalla kohdallani kukaan ei osannut neuvoa minua suuntaan eikä toiseen ja etsin kaiken tiedon itse. Ja ...

I said goodbye to 2016 in the back seat of a bus while writing a presentation essay and studying like my life depended on it. I traveled back to Vaasa during the New Year night to make sure I could study without any distractions and that's what I did and passed the test. Japanese 2 course has now been going on for a good while and now there is hardly anything that I already know from my previous studies so I have to study even harder than before or some bad things will happen. Me and my mom ended up leaving for Lappeenranlta the next day (25.12.) to visit relatives. Well today (or actually yesterday) this whole japanology studying process has finally began! I was less nervous about the first day than I could have been because I had already got to know two of my new classmates. We found each other from internet through our blogs and already met many times before our school even started. Today I had a nice slow morning and ended up having to hurry up a little bit. I met with one of these new friends and we walked together to school. At first all of us new students gathered to our classroom at 1pm. Some of us seemed to have some trouble finding the right place just like I had at the first time with my mom. That wasn't a suprize because at least Google maps doesn't have any idea where our school actually is. FKF has three school buildings in a row near the church. " The TOEFL iBT test measures your ability to use and understand English at the university level. And it evaluates how well you combine your listening, reading, speaking and writing skills to perform academic tasks. "  I participated to this TOEFL-test last week on saturday. Waking up at 5am wasn't fun at all to begin the day with and I had some hard time figuring out how to use a tram in Helsinki. Believe or not I missed the first tram because I didn't know how to open a door (hah and I still don't know how because at the second try there were others going in before me so I just followed them) . Luckily I had enough time and arrived an hour early for the test even though I had to walk and search for the place for a while. The whole day was horrible but the test was definitely the worst part of it. I don't have any idea how it went yet but I can say that I failed to present my english skills at the most important moment. I wish I reached at least the needed ...

Kuinka kiinnostus Japanin kulttuuriin sai alkunsa? Miksi haen juuri Japaniin Hokkaidolle? Japanilainen ajattelutapa ja kulttuuri on kiinnostanut minua jo vuosia. On vaikea arvioida mistä koko prosessi alkoi, sillä en tosiaan muista tarkkaan, mutta muistelisin katsoneeni Geisha-aiheisen dokumentin joskus aikoja sitten. Enpä silloin tiennyt kuinka pieni osa kaikkea tuo dokumentti joskus tulisi olemaan verrattuna siihen mitä kiinnostukseni Japanin kulttuuria kohtaan on nykyään. Kyseinen kulttuuri ei tosiaan ole pelkkiä kirsikankukkapuita ja ”ernu”-tyylejä, kuten moni aluksi sen näkee – myös minä itse.Vaikeaa on määritellä koska alkuihastus muuttui niin suureksi, ettei paluuta ollut, mutta osaan kyllä kertoa miksi Japani kiinnostaa nyt niin paljon, että haluan suorittaa ainakin kandin opintoni siellä. Hello! Yesterday I went back to school just like many of you out there. I was feeling pretty weak the whole day long and ...here I'm now at home being sick :( It's no time to be at home sick but I can't help it. The first day was like this: We didn't actually do anything special but hang around and listened to some teachers and principle talking.
