Halloween

Kuva
Honestly saying I have never been that big of a fan of Halloween and all that scary stuff. At some point in the past I was really into cute-creepy fashion such as pastel goth and I still like creepy doll -look kind of things for some unknown reason but that's all about me liking creepy stuff. Even some lame horror movies are too scary for me to watch. Especially alone without weeks full of nightmares after that. I'm such a paranoid way too easily. In my opinion this world is a scary enough place by itself so why make it worse.      However this year I actually tried to take more fun out of this loved halloween event (as small of a thing as it is in Finland, compared to America). I bought some stockings that glow in the dark and threw everything from white paint to glitter glue on my face to be in a perfect condition to scare people on the streets. Hoho not really, but two kids ca

Moving soon again

Awake too late at night lately? Yup, totally me. Still haven't returned to my usual sleeping habits that got messed up because I studied for tests. Maybe it's just me but it's funny how easily things change. I'm not saying that every change is a bad one but I can't help wondering if all those things in the past and future will continue to run like a sand through my fingers. Nothing can be trusted. I hate it when promises aren't kept. If you can't keep a promise, don't make one in the first place or that is just going to hurt people. (argh)    A little bit of calligraphy practicing at school There is so much to do and so much work to finish but I'm doing nothing but thinking too much. First exams in FKF are done - finally over. I should be writing some job applications. I should do everything to make moving to a next apartment possible. Because hey, I'm finally moving to an apartment that can hopefully be called home. But I lack of

Let's talk about the "kawaii"-culture

Kuva
I guess everyone who are somehow more into japanese culture or have some basic knownledge of it have noticed this fact, that yes, cute things and often called " kawaii "-culture are and is a huge thing in Japan. It's overwhelming and kind of everywhere there. Cute styles, clothes, candy, bags, wallets, food, furniture, cards, toilet paper... almost everything you can come up with and that most likely exists.  And what's the most outstanding part, the cute culture isn't only for children but everyone including adults and older people! Photo was found from here by google Some years ago, around the time of my first year in high school all that cute stuff everywhere looked unrealistic to me and I was overwhelmed. That was the first impression I had and no wonder. To have options between casual and cute in almost everything was and still is something that's not in common here in Finland and western countries. It's just not a thing here! Most peopl

First school day in FKF!! ; Fria Kristiga Folkhögskolan

Kuva
Well today (or actually yesterday) this whole japanology studying process has finally began! I was less nervous about the first day than I could have been because I had already got to know two of my new classmates. We found each other from internet through our blogs and already met many times before our school even started. Today I had a nice slow morning and ended up having to hurry up a little bit. I met with one of these new friends and we walked together to school. At first all of us new students gathered to our classroom at 1pm. Some of us seemed to have some trouble finding the right place just like I had at the first time with my mom. That wasn't a suprize because at least Google maps doesn't have any idea where our school actually is. FKF has three school buildings in a row near the church. The main building has "Fria Kristliga Folkhögskolan" written on it. As usually on the first day we went through bunch of introductions from our teacher, principl

YouTubers that helped me to learn more about Japan, (PART 2/3) ; Fashion & Beauty

Kuva
This time I'm going to quickly introduce some of my favorite youtubers who make videos about fashion and beauty in Japan. There is going to be three separate parts in this series where the each channel will be classified under one of these three different categories "Culture" , "Fashion&Beauty" or "Cooking&Baking" to make it easier to keep up and not so painfully long to read.  A few of the channels introduced here have been under my attention for ages ever since I knew almost nothing about Japan. It has been an interesting and a long journey learning and watching these channels and Youtubers to grow bigger and succesful along my own abount of knownledge of Japanese culture. If you are interested in Japan or something related to it's rich culture I warmly recommend you to check out these channels! Click the pictures and it'll take you to the main page of each channel~ ✿ ❀ ✿ ❀ ✿ ❀ ✿ ❀ ✿ ❀   Kimdao and Kimdaov

I'm moving to Vaasa this month!

Kuva
Last month I recieved a letter of acceptance from FKF (Fria Kristliga Folkhögskolan) to study japanology in Vaasa!!! Great, wonderful, scary, cool,....everything is a mess in my head. Too much stuff to think about right now. But_I'm extremely happy and excited! The day before yesterday I had a trip to Vaasa with my mom to check out the city and of course the apartment offered to me. Vaasa is so far away from my home I have barely even visited there before. Honestly I do not even remember if I have been there at all before. It's not a first time I find myself from a situation where I'm moving to a new city without even knowing what kind of city it is, haha. :D I really wanted to get an apartment where I could be alone but unfortunately there were only shared apartments available so this is going to be my home for a while at least. First impression of Vaasa was "it's so cold here but beautiful buildings!". I really like that Vaasa is located in

✮✧✻ Hellocon and Tea Party 2016 ✻✧✮

Hellocon (18-19.6.).  My job was to keep an eye at the cloacroom but I also had much free time. I took a train towards Helsinki on friday right after I got my day at work finished. Train ticket was a lot harder to get than I assumed. All of the trains were fully booked up. Well that didn't stop me. I walked in to the next leaving train to Helsinki and paid 5 more euros to save myself from hanging around the train station half a day. Good decision even though I was scared of the large additional charge for a good while (because I didn't know how much it was). Someone kind enough offered me a seat next to him so I didn't have to stand there the whole time. This year I decided to apply for working as a volunteer in As soon as I arrived in Helsinki and succesfully found my way to the hotel where I and my friend were about to stay the weekend, we left for Verkkokauppa. I had been waiting for moths this certain camera Canon Powershot g7x mark 2 to come to t
